IPMS Ipswich meets twice a month! Our meeting dates will be the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. The second Tuesday of each month will be a build night, where members will bring in their latest projects to work on and share ideas and techniques. New to the hobby? No worries. There will be plenty of us to answer any questions you may have.
The fourth Tuesday (except December) will be our regular meeting night in the usual format, where members bring in their completed models. As always, we will discuss our model builds, so bring yourselves and your latest creations for us to see what you've been up to over the past month. We welcome anyone with an interest in scale modelling, regardless of skill level. Within our club you are bound to meet someone with a common interest as our members build ships, aircraft, military vehicles, automobiles, motorcycles, and figures.
Our next club meeting will take place on Tuesday, 26 November. Meeting times will be from 7:30 - 10:30 PM in the games room at the Ipswich & District Indoor Bowling Club, 136 Rushmere Road, Ipswich IP4 4JU.
Our next build night will take place Tuesday, 10 December. If you haven't attended a build night yet, give it a try. I don't think you will be disappointed. Just pitch up with whatever you are working on and what ever tools and sundries you will need for a 3-hour model building session.
2019 Theme Nights
26 November - WW2 four-engined heavy bombers - time to blow the dust off that big bomber kit you never built because you have no where to display it. Guess what? For one night only you can plonk it on the table next to all the others that will make their appearance on club night! That ensures it gets at least one airing out.
17 December - Secret Santa - as if the year wasn't busy enough, you still need to squeeze in that Secret Santa kit you took home last year. We will also have our annual quiz night and some festive food and fun to get you in the mood! If you would like to participate in next year's Secret Santa build, bring along a wrapped mystery model to exchange. There are no stipulations for the model, you can buy one especially if you'd like, or donate an unbuilt kit from your stash. Just remember to wrap it. That's part of the fun!
